Do You Know These Maintenance Tips for Mine Hoist Winches?

The mine hoist winch is vital in daily mining operations. Its performance directly impacts overall production output. Therefore, extending its service life requires consistent effort. Effective daily maintenance, timely inspections, and efficient troubleshooting are all essential. This guide explains how to perform these tasks successfully. It covers proactive maintenance, systematic checks, and practical fault resolution.

 (1) Use a hammer to check for loose parts like bolts and pins. Also, inspect gear meshing in the reducer through inspection holes.

(2) Check the oil supply in the lubrication system. Also, inspect the working condition of the brake system.

(3) Check the backlash of the depth indicator’s lead screw nut. Also, verify that all protective devices and gauges function normally.

(4) Check the stability of all rotating parts. Specifically, inspect for bearing vibration and ensure all base and foundation bolts are tight.

(5) After manually checking the hoist’s signaling device, also inspect all contactors. Look for wear on contacts in panels and reversers. If any wear is found, replace those parts promptly. Similarly, repair any burnt sections immediately. This maintains reliable contact performance and prevents potential failures.

(6) Inspect the rotation of the rope-turning clutch and head sheave. Also, check key components such as linings and bearings for smooth operation.

(7) Inspect the structure of the conveyance and its attachments. Check key components like car stops, links, and guide rollers for proper condition.

(8) Inspect all connections in the parachute system, including springs and catchers. Also, check the lubrication of linkages and moving parts.
